Grant applications are now available. Note: we are again considering all applications this year, not just those that are hurricane related. We are seeking applications for projects that have historic, preservation or architectural significance. Eligibility is limited to individuals and tax exempt organizations within the City of Key West.
OIRF intends to provide grant funding in various amounts, and will consider grants for several proposals, or one truly outstanding proposal for the entire available amount. OIRF reserves the right to fully, partially, or not fund any proposal(s) as circumstances and budget dictate. The deadline for receipt of applications is January 11, 2019. Notification of approval/disapproval for Grant funding will be February 23, 2018.

Old Island Restoration Foundation, a nonprofit organization, was organized in 1960 to promote the preservation and restoration of historically significant buildings in Key West. The Foundation also administers and maintains the Oldest House Museum and Garden at 322 Duval Street.
The foundation established the Nancy Ordway Jameson Scholarship to honor the former director of the Oldest House Museum who spent more than 22 years working with the Foundation. Scholarship assistance is made through Take Stock in Children, an award winning scholarship and mentoring program. OIRF’s donation will help support graduating Key West secondary students.
The foundation awards Historic preservation grants for projects that demonstrate historic architectural significance. Applications are available from December 15 to January 15 of each year.

Funding for these activities is raised through our annual Key West Home Tours, memberships, donations and special events. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and your donation or membership will help us expand our grants program.
