OIRF Seeks Grant Proposals

Do you, as an individual, or as an organization, have a project in need of funding to get started or to assist in completion?  The Old Island Restoration Foundation (OIRF) is seeking applications for potential grant funding. 

Old Island Restoration Foundation (OIRF) has available funding up to a total amount of $32,790 for the fiscal period 2017-18.   OIRF is seeking applications for projects that have significance for preserving the architectural and/or cultural history of Key West.  Eligibility is limited to individuals and tax exempt organizations in the City of Key West.

This year selection priority will be given to proposals that involve hurricane damage repair.

OIRF intends to provide grant funding in various amounts. OIRF will consider grants for several proposals, or just one truly outstanding proposal for the entire available amount of up to $32,790.  OIRF reserves the right to fully, partially, or not fund any proposal(s) as circumstances and budget dictate.  The deadline for receipt of applications is January 12, 2018.  Notification of approval/disapproval for Grant funding will be February 23, 2018.

Old Island Restoration Foundation (OIRF), a nonprofit organization, was organized in 1960 to promote the preservation and restoration of historically significant buildings, and the history and traditions of Key West.  The Foundation also administers and maintains the Oldest House and Gardens at 322 Duval Street.  Funding is raised through the annual house tours, membership, donations and other special events.
